Tote bags!

Going to see my sister this morning to consult on Creatures of the Wild tote bags that she is making from my fabric. Here we are about 60 years ago in Sunflower Village (used to be on Ft.. Richardson...when it was Ft. Richardson, before JBER!

At the Alaska Zoo yesterday to take pictures for new Creatures of the Wild art - stopped in the gift shop and saw these fabulous displays of my art on McGowan Tempered Glass kitchen products.  A big thank you to Terri Storter for making this contact!

We were coming from Pizza Man in Eagle River and I glimpsed Dina's Cozy Cabin Quilt shop just around the corner, so we stopped in to say hello.

This is my "Multi" Coordinating fabric - I recently received a royalty check for a substantial amount of this design - Yippee!

There's still so much mystery to me, so much to learn about fabric design and licensing.

Working on my Powerpoint presentation that will go along with the one-hour talks I'll be giving at fabric stores this summer. My journey from watercolor to fabric has been interesting!

My sister, Rosalind, made me this nifty tote bag out of my Creatures of the Wild fabric! She's making me 5 more, one for each of the animal squares on the panel: otter, polar bear, moose, & puffin. We will each carry one on the upcoming Inside Passage cruise!

June 7 - leave Vancouver 4:30 PM

June 9 - Ketchikan 8 am - noon

June 11 - Juneau 8 am - 3 pm

June 12 - Skagway, 8 am - noon

The power of Facebook

It's pretty well established - the power of Facebook to get the word out is unbelievable.  I'm hearing from quilters, quiilt shops, and others regarding my new fabric and the coordinating pieces.

Adding Tutorials

Just added these two tutorial guides - one for beginners (Seahorse) and one more advanced (Bridge at Sunset).  Bridge at Sunset is in a different format than the rest of the tuturials; it's a series of pictures I took while painting this 22 x 30 piece, which I made into a little movie and posted
